Hot dogs
Hot dogs are also known as sausages and frankfurters
It is cooked sausage, grilled or steamed and served in a bun intended for hot dogs (such as a fino loaf).
Although the origin of the hot dog is from Germany, it has become associated with the United States of America.
There are differences in the preparation of hot dogs between states in America. There is the New York method where ketchup and chopped vegetables are placed on the hot dog inside the bread, while the Chicago method is served in a brown loaf with scattered grains and served to a hot dog without adding ketchup to it.
Ingredients
- kilogram of lean meat.
- Four cloves of minced garlic.
- Two teaspoons of salt.
- Two teaspoons of paprika.
- A teaspoon of mustard.
- Half a teaspoon of black pepper.
- Half a teaspoon of chopped coriander.
- Half a teaspoon of crushed cardamom.
- A teaspoon of corn oil. amount of boiling water.
- Quarter of a teaspoon of crushed cumin.
How to prepare
- Put the meat in the electric mixer, and chop it well until it becomes soft.
- Add salt, garlic, black pepper, paprika, cumin, cardamom, coriander, oil, and mustard, and mix the ingredients together for two minutes.
- Put the mixture in a bowl, cover with a suitable lid, and then put it in the bottom section of the refrigerator for four hours.
- Put the boiling water in another pot over a medium heat, and add three tablespoons of salt to it.
- We form the mixture in the form of medium-sized cylindrical pieces, and wrap each piece using a sheet of tin, taking into account the pressure on it a little to get a cylindrical shape, then twist the sides of the pieces with tin foil.
- Put the pieces wrapped in tin foil in the boiling water, leave them for twenty minutes, then remove them from the mixture, and place them on a colander, taking into account the placement of the strainer over the pot of boiling water until the hot dog is fully cooked over the steam, and leave it for a quarter of an hour.
- We put the cylindrical pieces aside to cool, then remove them from the tin foil, and replace them with plastic paper, then keep them in the upper section of the refrigerator until use.
